So despite vikings lacking fires with proper build order you can kinda easily compensate that with longboats. Once you mass 10+ of them then bye bye feudal age ships. The key is to make a back dock, have a good build for FC (I can do 15 mins FC into 4 docks longboats.
I played couple of games where I destroyed even two guys who were trying to play feudal (fires+galleys). He told me that Portuguese are **** on water compared to vikings, and not to dismiss the vikings, I think the portuguese are still a great water civ.) (Just for notice, yesterday I played TI 2v2, my teammate chose Koreans and his plan was to trush the opponent's island while I got map control) He wanted me to pick Vikings but I picked Portuguese because I felt that feudal water control was more important. I'm tired of having continuous discussions and arguments with my friends about what civs are better and I would like to know what the not-so-noobs think.īecause it is a map now in the map pool, let's focus on Team Islands, but please share if you feel that others are better for other water maps.Īnd also, let's focus more on water control, although landing is much more common now, but share your thoughts anyway.įinally, I added a poll to survey which one yo think is the best water civ, but I want to hear insights about all of them. I guess it also depends in which age we are talking about. With the new balance changes (since African Kingdoms) it is not so clear who is the best civ in water.
